How Does GPS Tracking Work?

Ascend GPS GPS TRACKER USER MANUAL  

Hard wired GPS tracker please hard wired it with vehicle/motorcycle according to the wiring diagram, insert sim card can turn on it.

Input Sim Card (please buy SIM card from local operator)

 

 

* Please get a suitable SIM card for this gps tracker, the SIM card must be compatible with 2G GSM network, and must be Normal Size SIM;

* Please enable the "GPRS internet data traffic" and "Caller ID Display" features of the SIM card

* Please make sure the SIM card has enough balance left and removed the PIN code;

* Please get these information from the SIM card provider: apn name,apn username, apn password, MCC number, MNC number.

Wiring Diagram 

Red:   Vehicle Battery Power +

Black:  GND(-)

Orange:  ACC (Car ignition)

Yellow:  Null

 

Track By Text Message

Text the number 6690000 to the gps tracker sim phone number, gps tracker will reply a google maps locationa link.

you will receive a Google Maps link of position, when sending message “6690000” to SIM card phone number in tracker .

  Command：6690000

  Reply：Google link

  Eg： 6690000

 

Preparation Before Tracking by Mobile apps and website

 Set APN by following steps. 

Every sim card carrier has own APN content, contact carrier directly to get their APN, or check sim card carrier on internet or put sim card into cell phone to find out APN.

COMMAND INSTRUCTION TO SET APN

Set  APN  ( any existing will be replaced)	803+0000+space+APN Content	apn ok

Send below SMS to set apn below

For China mobile SIM Card in China, we got APN information below.

Data APN: cmnet

APN User name:null

Send below sms to set APN
